Providing quality education for girls in
rural and underserved regions of Nepal
What We Do
Namaste Children’s Fund (NCF) was created in 2008 to support education for girls in a district in Nepal that lacks the resources to provide schooling for all children. NCF built and created a boarding school in Simikot village in the Humla region, one of the least developed districts in remote northwest Nepal. Our students travel from remote villages to receive an education and to live among their peers. The school and hostel in Simikot provides bilingual education for approximately 50 students at the Basic Education level. For Secondary Education and beyond, students transfer to the Kirtipur hostel outside of Kathmandu, and attend nearby schools. NCF is committed to providing support to qualifying young women who graduate from high school and are now attending colleges and technical schools in Kathmandu.
